Is preventive maintenance scheduled by time or by usage?
Whichever you prefer — even both in the same plan: by calendar (every X days) or by meter reading (every X hours, kilometers or cycles). You define how far in advance you want the reminder and, when the maintenance is performed, the system calculates the next date or reading on its own.
How is the cost of maintaining an asset calculated?
With real data: spare parts leave inventory using your company's costing method and tasks record the labor hours. From that you get the cost by asset, by technician, by task, by spare part, by customer, by contract or by month — with its corresponding accounting entry.
Can I bill the maintenance I perform on customer equipment?
Yes. Equipment can be linked to a customer and a contract, completed orders land in a pending-invoicing inbox, and warranty jobs are flagged to distinguish what isn't billed. You can also register external equipment that you don't own.
How does equipment relate to fixed assets?
The asset and the fixed asset are the same record: the file shares depreciation, purchase value, insurance and warranties with the Fixed Assets module. You buy the equipment, depreciate it and maintain it without duplicating information.
Does it adapt to the way my workshop works?
Yes. Equipment categories, the task catalog, failure codes and priorities are all configurable; documents support custom fields and file attachments; and orders can be printed with your own templates or emailed directly from the system.
